The Ventriloquist and Scarface

Another Batman baddie placed into the Nolan version of Gotham. It's still rough around the edges and could probably use a once over but I figured I'd post it anyway. One of the things that people had a problem with when I posted it on SHH! was the fact that I based Mr. Scarface on Tony Montana.

Vote for Me... or I'll Kill you!

This was done during the "Why So Serious" viral campaign that was being run by the WB during the build-up to The Dark Knight. I based it off of the famous comic cover from the series titled Batman: Dark Detective.

Solomon Grundy

This is a drawing I did based off of the actor Vinnie Jones. it's actually something I did to assist me in a Photo Manipulation I'm going to do down the line.

Kristen Bell as Harley Quinn

Here is a really quick one I did that was inspired by a guy named Josh McMahon over on a site called Fan Art Exhibit. Make of it what you will but I had fun with it. It probably took about 15 to 20 minutes.

The Mad Hatter

This is one I did before The Dark Knight came out and a lot of people were calling for Paul Bettany to play the Joker before the role was cast to the late Heath Ledger. As good as some of the photo manips I've seen of him as the Joker are I've always seemed to picture him more as a Jervis Tetch type. I even went all nerdy and created my own "Nolanized" back story for how he came to be in that particular Batman universe. I'll spare you the details of it but I always thought it was clever.

Bruce Wayne - The Prince of Gotham

Here is the Redesign of Mr. Wayne himself. The Writer insisted that he have a beard because he wanted his face to be entirely covered when he became Batman in this version.

Black Mask - Gotham at Dawn

Here is another Black Mask that I did for a guy that wanted to "reinvent" the Batman saga with his own telling of the story called Gotham at Dawn. In this version Black Mask was the one responsible for Bruce Wayne becoming Batman. I'll post Bruce Wayne next.

Black Mask

One thing you will probably notice is there will be a lot of Batman related thing on this blog. I can't help I've loved Batman since I was at least two years of age. SO without any further mention of it, here is another one of Batman's Rogues, the Black Mask. I did this back when Tom Hardy was first announced that he would be in The Dark Knight Rises. Nobody knew who he was going to be and nobody probably would have guessed Bane. I did this and gave him a wooden mask because that is how the character first appeared in the comic, in a mask carved out of mahogany wood taken from the lid of one of his parents coffins out of there mausoleum. I wanted the mask to have a hand carved look and I think it turned out well. I wouldn't want to see this guy coming after me, be it with a mask full of the face eating makeup  he used in the early days or with a drill / pliers / random item you'd find in a tool shed he'd use to torture you with in his later years.

Catwoman

Another photo manipulation I did a couple months ago and posted over on the Super Hero Hype boards in TDKR fan art section. I used Anne Hathaway's face and sort merged it into a semi-real world take on the costume designed by Tim Sale in The Long Halloween, Dark Victory and Catwoman: When in Rome.

Hawkman

I'm going to kick off this blog with a photo manipulation I did a month or so ago of a Member of both the JSA and the JLA, DC's very own Hawkman. It was a fairly quick job and I have to say the only thing that held me up on it was finding the right pair of wings. Cater Hall, the reincarnated spirit of Khufu as I feel he would look in a live action film or TV show.
